      Cazenovia Central School District bids farewell

      On June 15, the Cazenovia Central School District (CCSD) Board of Education held a farewell ceremony for its first ex officio student member, Sebastian Gebers, and interim school business official, Joe Gugino. Gebers, who is graduating this spring, will be attending Columbia University in the fall, marking a significant milestone for the district.

      Summer reading kickoff at Baldwinsville Public Library

      As summer break approaches, the Baldwinsville Public Library is set to host its 2026 Summer Reading Kickoff Ice Cream Social on Monday, June 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. This free community event, sponsored by the Friends of the Baldwinsville Public Library, will feature complimentary treats from Skippy’s Ice Cream Truck while supplies last.

      Families can also explore a special Touch-a-Truck: Ambulance Edition, allowing children to learn about local first responders and get a close-up look at an emergency vehicle provided by the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps.

      Scholarship awards in Baldwinsville

      On June 10, the Baldwinsville School District held its 52nd Scholarship Awards Ceremony, distributing over 125 scholarships to deserving students. Among the recipients was Peyton Edwards, who received the Dr. Harry and Estella Eno Memorial Scholarship. Edwards plans to attend Le Moyne College to study psychology, continuing a legacy of educational achievement in Central New York.
