      Baldwinsville and Homer won the boys Section III bowling championships for Class A and Class B, respectively, while Rome Free Academy took the girls Class A title and Fulton won girls Class B, according to Section3Bowling.com.

      The championships fed into the 2026 NYSPHSAA State Bowling Championships, held for the seventh time since 2018 at AMF Syracuse Lanes in mid-March, per NYSPHSAA.

      Local Standout at States

      Alex Locke of East Syracuse Minoa was the top individual performer in the Boys Division 1 state championship, rolling a six-game total of 1,357 pins for a 226.17 average. His game-by-game scores were 223, 185, 267, 246, 192 and 244, per Section3Bowling.com’s state results page. Locke’s 267 in the third game was among the highest single-game performances at the tournament.

      East Syracuse Minoa finished second in the Division 1 team standings with 6,415 total pins, behind Commack of Long Island (6,513), per Section3Bowling.com.

      Section III Team Results at States

      The boys team standings at the state championship included ESM’s strong second-place finish. Full team rosters and individual game logs for all Section III qualifiers are available on Section3Bowling.com.

      Girls Results

      In the Girls Division 1 individual championship, Hailey Barber of Rush-Henrietta (Section V) took the title with a 223.33 average, per the NYSPHSAA results. Fulton’s girls team represented Section III in the Class B/Division 2 bracket after winning their sectional title.

      The Section III bowling season runs from November through the state championship in March. Section III has hosted the NYSPHSAA state tournament at AMF Syracuse Lanes regularly since 2018, making Central New York the de facto home of high school bowling in the state.
